Focus makes custom design tuners for frequencies between 10 MHz to 110 GHz with powers up to 500W CW.

Beyond many standard tuner models, Focus specializes in "custom" designs; this includes all tuner families, such as Prematching Tuners (PMT), Harmonic Rejection Tuners (PHT), Multi-Purpose Multi-Harmonic Tuners (MPT) and, of course the standard single-probe wideband tuners (CCMT). Many of the tuners Focus has and can manufacture are not in the catalogue.

Custom tuner design offers complete in-house engineering services including design, prototyping, manufacturing and testing for projects of all sizes and complexities (concept-to-reality). Our experienced product development team uses state-of-the-art tools including CAD-CAM (SolidWorks), CNC High Precision Machines, product validation, rapid prototyping and other tools.

Our design team prides themselves on providing quick and innovative solutions for unique and hard to solve applications.

Special designs focus not only on frequency or power range, but also on VSWR range as well as type of operation, such as typical design work, or heavy duty production (24/7) applications. In each case some parts of the tuner are designed differently. Heavy-duty tuners, for instance, have coarser and sturdier gear and forced-air cooling. Frequencies above and beyond standard frequencies use different size airlines and custom probes.
